After two weeks in MD, we packed up the van, and headed south to Mom Mom & Pop Pop Solley's house in Boiling Springs Lakes in South Port , NC to spend our summer vacation. Unfortunately Diane had to head back to Italy after just five days in NC, but the kids and I spent the whole summer here. It was tough being away from Mommy so long, but at least we could Skype her . Spent the first couple of weeks in NC, but eventually we had to head back to Italy, and excited to see Mommy again. The first weekend back in Italy, we hiked to the rim of Mt Vesuvius. It was a spectacular day, and a nice hike. Then the we visited the monastery @ Monte Casino, and the Polish cemetery. On our way back home we stopped at a little pizzeria, and watched a helicopter put out fires on the mountain side. It was a wonderful day !
